Near Edinburg, VA in 1751, Daniel Nuland was chain carrier on Peter Turney's land survey (this is near Peter Turney, Sr. and Edinburg VA... this land began in Northern Neck records, then Frederick, Dunmore, Augusta, and finally was in Shenandoah County depending on the date).
Daniel Nuland, Sr. was on 1751, Peter Turney SR deed, and that in 1785, Head of Household for Shenandoah Co., VA, a Daniel Newland, Jr. is living near Peter Turney SR still... this is on land on the North Branch of the Shenandoah River, near Edinburg and Stony Creek.

Fauquier Co. was formed in 1759, being taken from Prince William Co., and named after Francis Fauquier, Governor of Virginia. Many of the names given on the Rent Roll of Prince William Co. (1738) are to be found later in Fauquier Co.
