Alice and Jim Smith lived on Catalina Island. She died of lung cancer. They had a daughter, Donna who still lived there (died Dec., 2011), also Mickey and Charley. Mickey passed March, 2007.

Donna Francis Smith Piacentini was born on May 4th, 1935, in Ft. Collins, Colorado. The Smith family relocated to Catalina Island from Colorado, in 1944 during WWII, while her father was serving with the US Maritime Services.
Donna was the first child born, followed by her brothers Mickey and Charlie Smith. She attended Avalon School and graduated from Avalon High. She then went to college at Long Beach City College, to be close to her family on the Island. Donna married Michael Angelo Piacentini in 1955. Mike and Donna adopted a son, Gregg in 1961, and a daughter, Suzanne in 1963. Donna passed away peacefully at age 76, on December 16, 2011.
